The night of September 20 in Ukraine turned into a night of terror due to a massive Russian attack – the terrorist state launched 40 missiles, both cruise and ballistic, and around 580 drones of various types against Ukrainians as they slept.

Dnipro and the region, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions all came under attack. The strikes targeted infrastructure, residential areas, and civilian enterprises. In Dnipro, in particular, a missile carrying cluster munitions directly hit a residential high-rise building.

At least three people were killed and dozens injured.

Each such strike is a deliberate tactic by Russia to threaten and terrorize civilians. It is the strategy of its war machine – one that must be stopped with a strong international response. To build an effective shield against Russia’s deadly weapons, Ukraine’s air defense must be strengthened, weapons supplies increased, and sanctions expanded against Russia’s ability to wage war and the sectors that sustain it.
