Russian viciously attacked Ukraine overnight – a strike deliberately planned to cause the greatest possible harm to people and civilian infrastructure.
Four people were killed and dozens civilians have been injured, including children and a pregnant woman. Russia launched around 430 drones and 18 missiles, including ballistic and aeroballistic weapons.

The strikes targeted Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Sumy regions. Dozens of residential high-rises in Ukraine’s capital were damaged, and fragments of an Iskander missile struck the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine. According to early reports, Russia used a Zircon missile in the Sumy region.
Ukraine is responding with long-range capabilities. The world must act too – by stopping Russia’s ability to fuel this war through oil revenues. Sanctions must close every loophole. Our country and people urgently need additional air-defence systems and interceptor missiles. We count on real decisions from Europe, the United States, and everyone who pursue a just peace.
