Happy Africa Day to all African nations! 

This is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our African partners. 

Ukraine, a co-founder and active member of the United Nations, has defended the interests of African nations since the start of their struggle for independence and decolonisation. 

Later, Ukraine's "blue helmets"—members of UN peacekeeping missions—faithfully carried out their duties in a number of African countries, earning a positive reputation and gratitude. 

Ukraine is proud to have been the study destination for thousands of talented African youth. And it's more than just numbers and statistics.  Behind each one is a human destiny or a successful career as a doctor, engineer, professor, or politician. We are delighted that many members of the African elite have begun their professional careers in Ukraine, and we will gladly welcome more African students in the future. 

Despite Russian aggression, Ukraine continues to provide global food security. We expand President Zelenskyy's humanitarian initiative "Grain from Ukraine," which has delivered nearly 290,000 tons of Ukrainian food to 16 countries, 11 of which are in Africa. We are working to expand the initiative by including new recipient countries.  

Our goal is not only to assist, but also to increase our African partners' agricultural self-sufficiency through the sharing of technology and knowledge. We are eager to expand our cooperation. 

We believe that the voices of all African countries must be heard around the world. We have high hopes for increased cooperation with the African Union. We advocate for greater African representation and role in the UN Security Council and the international system. 

We are optimistic about the current state of Ukrainian-African relations and their future prospects.  We hope that our mutual rapprochement will produce positive and tangible results. 

May this Africa Day be a time for pride, reflection, and renewed commitment to the ideals that unite us all.
