On 2 February 2026, Rostyslav Tronenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Mozambique held a meeting with Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique.

Rostyslav Tronenko expressed solidarity with Mozambique in view of the consequences of the floods, emphasizing Ukraine's readiness to continue its contribution to the strengthening Mozambique's food security within the framework of the initiatives of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy "Grain from Ukraine" and "Food from Ukraine".

During the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of the intensification of bilateral relations, in particular the development of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, implementation of humanitarian projects, deepening cooperation in the consular sphere, as well as issues of international security and shipping safety.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation assured the Ukrainian Envoy of Mozambique’s support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, appealing for the soonest possible end of the war and establishment of peace in our country.
